Reiki is a treatment that is believed to accelerate physical, emotional, and spiritual healing; generally a support for conventional medical care, rather than a replacement for it. A practitioner of Reiki has undergone an “attunement” by an already-certified Reiki teacher. This chain of attunements goes back to Mikao Usui, the method’s founder.
What is Te a Te?
Te a Te is an energy practice that enhances Mary’s hands-on abilities. Te a Te was studied through apprenticeship with Thomas E. Duckworth, DKM. Mary uses it and Reiki daily in her acupuncture practice here in Florissant.
Te a Te enhances Reiki
Reiki is based on the idea that there is a universal (or source) energy that supports the body’s innate healing abilities. Practitioners, through ceremony, realize this connection to facilitate healing.
Originating with Master Sakai of Japan, Te a Te is a practice of gathering universal/source energy in one’s hara (center). Channeling this energy though the hands to the recipient, Te a Te seeks to balance the body’s energy.
Mary uses the hand energy developed in her practices to charge your blanket for gentle assistance in healing.
