Awaken Your Bo Points
Outstanding! While these practices are simple, they are not always easy. Be patient with yourself. Continue your commitment to fortifying your being.
Today we will do a slight variation to the practice. Just prior to your usual what is now routine, I want you to awaken your abdomen.
Take a dry soft wash cloth. Rub your belly with it in a circular fashion and a clockwise rotation around the navel and including the whole abdomen from rib cage base to pubic bone. The soft underbelly if you will. Here reside the tsubo that are said to be the beginning and end, the alpha and the omega of the energy.
I call these points "bo-spa". The points in Japanese are called "bo". I refer to them as the spa points since this is where the energy returns to for R&R. From here, rested, the energy reintegrates with the main system to nourish and protect.
Do this belly scrub until the skin begins to pink up. If it blanches (turns white), hold off on this practice until you have fortified yourself more with sound practice. Otherwise, do this everyday from now on prior to sound meditation.
Lie, sit, or stand comfortably. Bring your hands together, palms slightly more apart but facing each other, in front of your lower Tan Den. Take a deep breath again into your lower Tan Den. Allow it to fill all three and from here sound the sounds of "Su-A-Wa" until you complete the breath.
While you are doing this for five minutes, pay attention to the feeling between your hands. Quiet your thoughts. Relax your body.
When you finish, take a moment to experience and note how you feel. How does it compare to yesterday and the days previous?
